Afsheen is a very passionate and energetic doctorate of physical therapy student at Chapman University and has a strong commitment to providing the best possible care for all his patients. He makes patient education a vital component of all his treatments and wants it to be as much of a team approach as possible. He first fell in love with physical therapy when playing football in high school and injuring his shoulder which would end up requiring physical therapy. seeing the impact that this profession can have on people’s lives while he himself was also a patient drove him to make this a career so he too could help others. He has a strong interest in sports related physical therapy and would love to work for a sports team one day. When he is not studying, he can be found being active by going to the gym with his friends and playing with his dogs in the park.
The mission of Chapman University is to develop practioners who are versatile, reflective, autonomous and empathetic. Patients of Afsheen’s can expect a level of knowledge that includes the latest research and methods for designing patient treatment plans which are based on the most relevant and up-to-date knowledge within physical therapy. Additionally, he integrates his knowledge and experience gained from being trained by the expertise of Chapman’s faculty members who are exceptional educators from across the country.
